The Future of Inflight
The original program ask was to research, understand, and envision the possibilities for existing employee spaces at Southwest domiciles and consider the broader objective of how Southwest might unify and engage a dispersed workforce.
The project pivoted when we realized the answer to the future of inflight bases could not be determined in isolation from other factors. For example, moving check-in to mobile (introducing technology) reduced the need to visit the base.
The updated challenge was to research the needs and behaviors of flight attendants and base leaders to rethink and reimagine the processes, environments, people, and technologies in the overall inflight journey to unify and unite a dispersed workforce.
